In Fall of 1999, we embarked on an exciting new phase of religious education for the children of our congregation. Our children now attend "Shabbat School" in our building here in Southington. We ceased our affiliation with Temple Sinai in Newington. All grades attend school on Saturday morning, with 4th through 7th grades also attending school Thursday evening as well. Our program includes the study of Jewish traditions and holiday worship, in addition to formal instruction in Hebrew and Jewish history.

Instruction is provided by volunteer members of the temple and a paid professional Hebrew teacher. Family attendance at Friday night services is highly encouraged and family workshops are planned throughout the year.
